Assam Valley Academy Sr. Secondary School, promoted by the Assam Valley Academy Benevolent Society, was established in 2010 at Ketekibari, on the northern side of the historic town of Tezpur, Assam. Since its inception, the institution has been committed to meeting the educational needs and aspirations of students by providing quality education in a disciplined, supportive and progressive learning environment.
What began as an institution offering higher secondary education has steadily grown and developed into a comprehensive Senior Secondary School. Today, Assam Valley Academy Sr. Secondary School provides education from Classes VI to XII, creating an integrated academic environment in which students can continue their education through the middle, secondary and senior secondary stages within the same institution.
At the Senior Secondary level, the School offers all three major streams — Science, Arts and Commerce — enabling students to select an academic pathway according to their interests, aptitude and future career aspirations.
The School places strong emphasis on effective classroom teaching and strives to provide students with comprehensive academic support within the institution. With a team of qualified, experienced and dedicated teachers, the Academy continuously works towards strengthening teaching-learning practices and adopting appropriate modern methodologies to make education engaging, meaningful and effective.
Education at Assam Valley Academy extends beyond academic achievement. Students are encouraged to participate actively in co-curricular and extracurricular activities, seminars, educational programmes, environmental activities, cultural events, tours and other developmental initiatives.
